Terms and Conditions
Bookings
We will require payment in full in order to book your place in any class.
Class sizes are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Cancellation Policy (for Bookings)
All reserved (booked) classes must be taken or cancelled at least 4 hours before class takes place.
Any late cancellations or no shows for classes will reduce the number of allowed classes by the number missed. This is to ensure that we can offer your spot to another student if there is a waiting list.
Return / Refund Policy (for Payments)
Refunds for class bookings will not be given – it is your responsibility to ensure that you have selected the correct class, cost, booking and start time before arriving at the studio:
All class types are clearly described on our website in the About section
Prices for all classes and class passes are listed in the Pricing section of this website
Class start and end times are listed on the Timetable page
We reserve the right to cancel any classes that are listed on our Timetable page. In the rare event that this should happen, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will exercise one of the following at your request:
Credit your class pass with an extra class
Allow you to book into a different class or different time
Refund you the cost of the class (in the event of a single drop-in booking)
Class Passes
Class Passes can be used to book any of our classes at The Happy Yogi
Class passes are to be used by the named person only and are not transferable.
A class pass is activated from the date of the first visit.
Missed classes that have not been pre-cancelled will be recorded on your pass (see Cancellation Policy above).
Class passes cannot be redeemed for cash value or to purchase merchandise on our website.
Class Etiquette
It is advised to refrain from eating 1 to 2 hours before practice or eat very light as yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water for hydration.
No shoes are permitted in the class. In yoga, practitioners put their hands, and sometimes their faces on the floor so we keep the practice room a shoe-free zone.
Please have your phone on silent or vibrate mode during the class.
Arrive a few minutes early. Allow yourself ample time to set up. Make ‘being on time’ part of your practice. If you happen to be late; take a few breaths, unroll your mat outside and then enter the studio slowly and quietly.
If you have to leave a class early, tell your teacher and leave quietly before the closing relaxation.
Be respectful to yourself. Make sure your teacher is aware of any pre-existing condition or injury that might affect your practice. Honor your body and practice within your body’s limitations.
Yoga is not a competitive sport! And it is not just a ‘workout’. It is a mufti-dimensional practice, which makes the body, mind and spirit stronger, more flexible and generally much healthier. Calm your mind, open your heart and enjoy yourself.
Be kind to yourself. Take rests. Remember wherever you are; you are perfect
